Meet Brendan.
Brendan N. Fitzgerald was raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania and earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Temple University. He graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, completing an accelerated two-year course of study. During law school, he interned with the Innocence Project, supporting efforts to exonerate people wrongfully convicted through DNA evidence.
After admission to the Pennsylvania Bar, Brendan opened a general practice handling civil litigation, business formation, family law, and criminal defense. He also served as a guardian ad litem for children in Luzerne County dependency proceedings and accepted court-appointed criminal defense cases in Lackawanna County.
In 2017, Brendan joined Joyce, Carmody & Moran, P.C. His practice experience includes civil rights litigation, insurance coverage, employment law, municipal law, and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania’s state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
